The 教务长办公室 serves the Barnard faculty 和 supports their excellence in scholarship, 教学, 服务, 和治理. As the College’s chief academic office, the 教务长 和 学院院长 ensures that the liberal arts education offered to Barnard undergraduates meets the highest st和ards of quality.
The Office is responsible for all instructional programs, 学术事务, 和 academic policies of the College; oversees forty academic departments 和 programs, the Barnard 图书馆 和 Academic Information 服务 (BLAIS), the Barnard Center for 研究 on Women (BCRW), the Athena Center for Leadership Studies, 设计, 数字人文, 经验推理, 斯劳爱特媒体, 和 Vagelos Computational Science centers, 移动实验室, 和 Center for Engaged Pedagogy; recommends to the Barnard President all nominations for appointment to the faculty; 和 develops 和 implements the academic budget.
